For example, chirimen, which supports the intricate art of Yuzen dyeing, is a crucial foundation of Japan’s aesthetic world. Without this white foundation, it would be challenging to maintain the beauty of Yuzen techniques. We are committed to preserving these invaluable traditions before they disappear.
At KALØNWHITE, we honor the craftsmanship of the few remaining artisans who weave both narrow and the rare wide- width fabrics used in kimonos. We transform these beautiful textiles into dresses in their purest form and proudly share them with the world. Engaging deeply with these fabrics is also seen as a form of therapy for those of us living in a fast-paced society.
